Welcome to Rutledge Field

HOME OF THE WEST VANCOUVER FIELD HOCKEY CLUB

They sound like the same city, but they’re not! West Vancouver and Vancouver are distinct cities separated by a few hundred metres of sea and connected by the iconic Lions Gate Bridge.

Your field hockey experience will take place at Rutledge Field and its neighbouring Ambleside Fields.  Situated between the North Shore mountains and the ocean, you will be playing in one of the most unique and inspiring locations in the world.

Rutledge Field is home of the West Vancouver Field Hockey Club, the largest field hockey club in North America with 2000 members at all ages.  The Club has played host to many tournaments, including the FIH World League 2 tournament in 2017.  The West Vancouver Field Hockey Club is passionate about sport and excited to welcome you.

Between games you will be able to enjoy the West Vancouver experience.  Take a walk along the seawall, visit one of the local cafes or venture into the North Shore mountains.  The fields are also located right beside the Park Royal Shopping Centre where you can visit over 280 shops and restaurants in a unique combination of indoor and open-air shopping.

Ringed by mountains and ocean, West Vancouver delivers some of everything the West Coast and beautiful BC has to offer, wrapped up in a smaller and easy-to-visit package.
